About Us

After completing the Master of Arts in Religion at Ashland Theological Seminary, Alan Tumpkin felt compelled to launch a ministry that was devoted to the expositional teaching of the Word of God.

Over the past several years, Alan has been distressed by the dearth of biblical teaching found throughout the Christian community.

It appears that many are more concerned with entertainment, developing “seeker friendly” programs, and engaging in so-called “spiritual” experiences rather than doing the hard work of study and correctly proclaiming the Word of God. Alan’s goal for the program is to make the biblical text clear, understandable and applicable. Although Alan Tumpkin founded this ministry, his wife, Marcia, assists in the production of the Life of Grace program.

Marcia, who completed Walsh College with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is the backbone of the ministry. Her gift of administration and keen ability of foresight provides the ministry with the necessary direction for optimal impact. The two have covenanted to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in accordance to the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Starting Sunday, July 11, 2010, promptly at 6:00pm, Pastor Alan Tumpkin will lead a weekly Bible study at the Village Office Center-North Unit, 23100 Providence Drive, Southfield Michigan, 48075, in the Ashland Theological Seminary Detroit Campus. Light refreshments will be served.
